How to Use the Real-Time Visual Table Map
Monitor dining room occupancy, pending orders, waiter calls and tables closing their bills — all in a single panel that updates automatically.
Understand table states and colours
The visual map uses an intuitive colour system to communicate each table's status:
| Colour | State | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | Available | Table ready for new customers |
| 🔵 Blue | Occupied | Customers browsing or ordering |
| 🟡 Yellow | Alert | Pending waiter call |
| 🟣 Purple | Bill requested | Customer asked to close the bill |
View session details
Click on any occupied table to see:
- Customers at the table — each participant's name
- Orders placed — items requested per person
- Total consumption — consolidated session value
- Elapsed time — since the table was opened
Perform manual actions
From the table detail view, managers can:
- Add items manually for a customer
- Transfer customers to another table
- Close the bill for cash payment at the till
- Resolve waiter calls
⚡ SSE Technology: All customer actions at tables are transmitted instantly via Server-Sent Events, updating your map without needing to reload the page.
